"My ileostomy was new and leaks were happening every other night. Anti-Leak panties caught a 150 ml leak last week — pyjamas dry, sheets dry, sanity intact. Wish I had them from day one."

Why Anti-Leak
Backup protection, in the underwear.

The pocket holds the pouch. The gusset is there if something gets past it.

The pouch has a place

A soft inner pocket holds your pouch against your body, so it moves less through the day.

The gusset is the backup

Four layers in the gusset, up to 200 ml. A spill stays in the brief.

High waist, a normal brief

It sits above the stoma and still reads as underwear. The pocket stays on the inside.

The same brief at night

Soft knit you can sleep in. The gusset is still there.

In real life
On an ordinary day.

Getting dressed, making the bed, packing a bag. The same beige brief.

How it works
Four layers. One brief.

Put it on like any high-waist brief. The pocket holds the pouch. The gusset is the backup.

The outer layer keeps what the gusset catches off your clothes.

Period + ostomy in one panty

"Game-changer for me. I have an ileostomy AND I menstruate. Anti-Leak handles both. No more tampon-pad-pouch juggle every period. Bought 5 pairs after the first wash."

Finally sleep without checking

"I used to wake every 2–3 hours to check the pouch. Now I wear Anti-Leak and sleep 7 hours straight. Even when I had a baseplate failure, the panty caught it. Worth every penny."

Confidence on a long flight

"Ten-hour flight to see family. Pre-Anti-Leak I would've been terrified of an in-seat leak. With the panty as backup I just enjoyed the flight. Pouch held — but I had insurance."

No odour, no smell, even after a leak

"The silver-thread layer really works. Had a small leak overnight, got up, rinsed the panty in cold water, washed normally — zero smell after. Better than expected."

Stoma nurse recommended these

"My stoma nurse insisted I wear Anti-Leak for the first 6 weeks post-op. She was right. Caught two overnight leaks in week 2 when my pouch fit wasn't dialled in yet. Thank you SIIL."

FAQ
Real questions, real answers

Everything ostomates ask before their first SIIL panties.

How much liquid does the gusset absorb?

Up to 200 ml — equivalent to roughly one full ileostomy pouch. The 4-layer absorbent core has a waterproof outer membrane that prevents any seepage to clothing, sheets or skin. This works for both pouch leaks and menstrual flow on light to medium days.

Should I wear Anti-Leak post-op?

Yes — many stoma nurses recommend wearing Anti-Leak panties for the first 4–6 weeks after stoma surgery. The high-waist band sits above the surgical site without rubbing, the soft antibacterial knit is gentle on healing skin, and the absorbent gusset gives you peace of mind through the night when leaks are most disruptive.

Do they double as period underwear?

Yes — the same 4-layer gusset works for menstrual flow on light to medium days. For heavy flow, layer with a tampon or menstrual cup; the panty acts as backup protection against unexpected leaks. One garment for two body experiences (ostomy + period).

How do I wash Anti-Leak?

Rinse in cold water immediately after wear (this preserves the absorbent core's capacity). Then machine-wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, inside out, with similar dark colours. Air-dry flat — do NOT tumble-dry (heat damages the waterproof membrane). Avoid bleach and fabric softener. With normal care, one pair lasts 12+ months.

Will the gusset feel bulky or uncomfortable?

No — the 4 layers are slim (about 4 mm total) and integrated seamlessly. Most customers report forgetting they're wearing them. The fabric is soft, breathable, antibacterial silver-thread; the gusset shape contours to the body without bunching or rubbing.

How do I pick the right size?

Measure your natural waist (the narrowest part above your belly button) and your hip at the widest point. Use the size guide above the Add-to-cart button. Between sizes? Choose the larger — the soft knit adapts down 4 cm comfortably. We accept exchanges within 30 days.

Will Anti-Leak fit my ostomy pouch?

Yes — the hidden inner pocket is sized to fit one-piece and two-piece pouches from Coloplast, Hollister, ConvaTec, B. Braun, Pelican, NuHope, Marlen and Welland. The pocket fabric is stretch elastic so it adapts to different pouch shapes and capacities — ileostomy, colostomy and urostomy.

What if Anti-Leak doesn't work for me?

30-day no-questions-asked returns. If the size or fabric isn't right, email hola@siilostomy.com and we'll refund or exchange. Used items are accepted for hygiene-relevant ostomy underwear — we re-process all returns through our medical-grade hygiene protocol.
